Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico Superiore

From organically grown grapes in the vineyard of Contrada San Paterniano, in Serra de’ Conti, 13,6 acres.  Soil enrichment is made with green manure and the soil is left permanently and naturally grassy.

Exposure is West, South and South-West; altitude is from 325 to 250 m over sea level and soil composition varies according to altitudes: clay at the top, mixed halfway and sandy at the bottom.

Manual harvest, de-stemming and gentle press, use of only free-run must, clarification through decanting and spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts selected from the vineyard.  No use of sulfites during fermentation or refining, just a little before bottling.

Refining on lees in stainless steel for 6 months and then for 2 months in bottles.

Insieme means together, all in one, a set.  It is a wine from the vineyard of Serra de’ Conti, that even if it is composed of a single land lot, it is a set or array of different soils: clay up top, changing to a mix a halfway down turning to pure sand at the bottom; it is a set of different altitudes, from 325 to 250 m above sea level; a set of various exposures since the vineyard is between two hill and the slopes come together.  The hand-harvested grapes are vinified together without adding any industrial yeasts and with great attention to the addition of sulfites, not used during fermentation but only just before bottling.

A spontaneous wine made with passion and with no compromises; a child of the diversified vineyards that generated it, a wine that I want to enjoy sharing together with all of you.
